OL Jake Fruhmorgen (6-5 280) of Tampa Thursday afternoon announced a commitment to Clemson over Florida. Fruhmorgen is the second offensive tackle of high national repute to commit to the Tigers 2015 class joining Mitch Hyatt of Suwanee, GA.
Fruhmorgen made two visits to Clemson in February and March and those visits positioned the Tigers at the top of his list. Florida became a factor after he visited there earlier this year and Michigan made a late run following a visit to Ann Arbor.
“I was just really comfortable at Clemson and realize that it was it," Fruhmorgen said. "Every time I was there, I felt like I was walking around at home. When I went to Clemson I didn’t feel like I had to act different there. I just felt like I was at home.”
Fruhmorgen's scouting report says he has a strong lower body and good feet. And he has football genes as his father was a lineman at Alabama.
He's the 7th commitment for Clemson's 2015 class.
