A week ago, DE Trevon Hill of Virginia Beach visited Clemson for the first time. It has been a trip he has anticipated and Hill was not disappointed.
"I got to meet some of the coaches but not all of them," he said. "It was spring break so not everyone was there. I did meet coach (Marion) Hobby and coach (Brent) Venables."
Hill was impressed with all that he saw but may have to return at a later date.
"I didn't really get to feel what the atmosphere is like,"Hill admitted. "But I tried to imagine it. 85,000 is pretty strong. I bet it gets intense when they run down The Hill."
His meeting went well with Venables and it was an opportunity to learn a little about Clemson for Hill. He spoke to Venables about what is expected of the athletes on and off the field. "He shook my hand and we talked about what is allowed and what isn't," Hill said.
Prior to visiting Clemson, Hill traveled to Wake Forest. The trip did not leave the same impression on him.
"It was good and bad," he said. "Some things were better than I expected but others weren't as good as I expected."
Hill has offers from Clemson, Virginia, Virginia Tech, East Carolina, Old Dominion, North Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest and Norfolk State.
He does not have any favorites.
