6-6 Tevin Mack of Dreher made an unofficial visit to Clemson Saturday and the Tigers became his latest major offer. And they became the first in-state school to offer Mack.
"It went pretty good," he said of the visit. "I talked to the coaches a little bit more and met some of the players and the strength coach. They've got a nice campus and an up and coming program. I know they like me because I can score the ball really well."
The offer was big to Mack because he's been looking for the Tigers and USC to step up but it didn't automatically put the Tigers in the driver's seat.
"I don't have any favorites," Mack said. "This gives me another option to see where I fit in. I'm not rushing anything. I'm waiting on more offers."
Mack did talk with USC assistant coach Matt Figgers Tuesday night. "He wants me to come back for a visit," Mack said. He will do that but probably not this month. He has no other visits planned right now.
Mack said the offers from Clemson, Auburn, Georgia, Virginia Tech, VCU, Houston, Mississippi State, Wake Forest and East Carolina are his solid ones and the ones he's considering.
