The Clemson baseball team Tuesday night landed a commitment from RHP Zach Goodman (6-0 180) of Kennesaw, GA. Goodman announced his commitment on Twitter after visiting Clemson earlier in the day.
Goodman’s fastball reportedly has hit 91 MPH.
Here’s the scouting report on Goodman from PerfectGame.com:
Medium frame, thick strong build. Pitches from an over the top arm slot with a short arm action. Works fast with an aggressive approach and a fast paced delivery. Good downhill leverage, hides the baseball well, limited front side use. Tight spin and hard biting slider generated consistent swings and misses, wipeout pitch at this level. Solid changeup with fading action to the arm side, chance to develop. Long swing with an aggressive approach, flashed pullside power with the bat and good bat speed. Good carry on throws from the outfield, clean mechanics and arm strength translates to the outfield well. Named to the National Underclass Main Event top prospect team.
Goodman is the 10th commitment for the Tigers’ 2015 class and joins his teammate RHP Ryley Gilliam as a Clemson commitment.
