Wide receiver Diondre Overton of Greensboro, N.C., plays a state semi-final this Friday night, and he's expecting Clemson coaches to be there to watch. Overton is hitting the home stretch of his recruiting with an announcement set for Jan. 3 at the Semper-Fidelis game, and it's a three-horse race between the Tigers, N.C. State and Louisville.
Overton said he's looking at making his official visit Dec. 12 to N.C. State. He's not sure about an official visit to Clemson at this point. He went to Clemson for the Notre Dame and Florida State games this season.
Louisville was at his school Tuesday and talked about an official visit but he's not sure about that right now either.
Overton talked with Clemson on Tuesday and NC State and Louisville had coaches in to see him on Tuesday. He is not claiming a favorite at this point.
