Gamecocks fall three spots in Baseball America Top 25

South Carolina dropped three spots to No. 5 in the newest Baseball America Top 25 that was released Monday.
The Gamecocks (26-5) were 2-2 last week, defeating Appalachian State and taking one game in a weekend series against Arkansas.
USC plays Furman at Fluor Field in Greenville at 7 p.m. Tuesday, then hosts Florida next weekend. The Gators (20-12) were 1-3 last week, losing a weekend series against Kentucky, and dropped two spots to No. 15.
The Wildcats jumped to No. 12 from No. 22.
Florida State, coming off a 4-0 week that included a sweep of Notre Dame, remained No. 1 for the third straight week.
The staff of Baseball America determines the Top 25 rankings.
