Kickoff time set for Gamecocks vs. East Carolina

South Carolina's Sept. 6 home football game vs. East Carolina will kick off at 7 p.m. and be televised on either ESPN2 or ESPNU, it was announced on Friday.
The Gamecocks lead the all-time series with East Carolina by a 12-5 margin, including a 2-0 mark under head coach Steve Spurrier. The teams last met on Sept. 8, 2012 in Columbia, with the Gamecocks rolling to a 48-10 victory.
Game times have now been announced for each of the Gamecocks’ first three games of the 2014 season, with all three contests set for Williams-Brice Stadium.
USC will host Texas A&M at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, in the first contest to be televised on the SEC Network. The Sept. 13 contest against Georgia will kick at 3:30 p.m. and be televised nationally on CBS.
