South Carolina center Clayton Stadnik was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week on Monday.
Stadnik made his second straight start in relief of the injured Cody Waldrop during the Gamecocks’ 35-25 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday and graded out at 82 percent. He played all 87 snaps and the line did not give up a sack or quarterback hurry while posting 579 yards, the second-highest total in coach Steve Spurrier’s tenure.
Stadnik is the first USC player to earn a conference accolade this season.
