South Carolina’s game at UCF on Sept. 28 will kick off at noon and be broadcast on ABC, ESPN or ESPNU, the SEC announced on Monday. A specific channel will be selected at a later date.
The No. 12 Gamecocks (2-1) will play the Knights (3-0) for the first time since 2005. USC won that game 24-15 in Steve Spurrier’s debut as coach. The Gamecocks also beat the Knights in 1996 and 1997 in the only other games in the series, when future three-time Pro Bowler Daunte Culpepper quarterbacked UCF.
The Knights are undefeated after beating Penn State 34-31 on the road last week. Like USC, they do not play this week. They received 28 votes in the Associated Press Top 25 this week, but were three spots out of the Top 25.
