South Carolina finished the regular season with one more weekly award.
Defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles was named SEC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week on Monday after he had another stellar game in the No. 8 Gamecocks’ 31-17 thumping of Clemson on Saturday.
* Paced the Gamecocks with six tackles, including four solo stops.
* Was credited with a career-high 2.5 sacks, accounting for 26 yards.
* Also had one quarterback hurry as the Gamecocks’ defense held the high-octane Clemson offense to just 17 points, forcing a half-dozen turnovers.
Never miss a local story.
Quarles split the award with Tennessee’s Corey Miller, a Wellford native who played at Byrnes High School.
