All things Gamecocks, especially basketball and football

Sports Illustrated’s Richard Deitsch wrote that USC’s Sept. 13 game hosting Georgia is gaining traction to host ESPN’s “College GameDay” if each team is undefeated.

The Gamecocks open with Texas A&M and then host East Carolina while the Bulldogs host Clemson and then have a bye week.

“If Georgia and South Carolina are undefeated for Week Three, it is a near-lock GameDay will be in Columbia, S.C., for that game,” Deitsch said in the Sports Illustrated article that outlined changes coming to the GameDay production .

It would be USC’s seventh time hosting the program and the first since the 2012 season, which also broadcast USC-Georgia.
