South Carolina senior forward Aleighsa Welch was cleared to practice on Saturday and is expected to make the trip for Sunday's game at LSU.
USC announced the news just before the No. 1 Gamecocks' practice on Saturday. Welch, the team's most indispensable player, suffered a sprained neck during Friday's win over Auburn when she fell trying to block a shot and collided with the basket support. She was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
All X-rays were clear and Welch was cleared to practice. A team spokesperson said that there shouldn't be any reason for Welch not to travel if she was practicing. The Gamecocks were set to fly to Baton Rouge immediately after practice.
USC (13-0, 1-0 SEC) plays at LSU (7-6, 1-0) at 3 p.m. on Sunday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
