Quick shots from coach Darrin Horn's meeting with the media ahead of the Tennessee game on Thursday:
-The game will be the last at home for senior forwards Sam Muldrow and Johndre Jefferson.
Muldrow, a Florence native, leaves the school's all-time blocked shot leader. A regular starter over the past three seasons, Muldorw is the last recruit brought the USC by Horn's predecessor Dave Odom.
Jefferson, from Santee, was brought in last season from a Florida junior college. He was the first South Carolina native Horn brought on the roster. He has played little since the tail end of the nonconference season.
Never miss a local story.
-Horn said it's possible Jefferson could get a start on Thursday as part of Senior Day.
-Lakeem Jackson's foot is improving. The sophomore did not start against Georgia after sitting out the three previous games. Guard Bruce Ellington continues to look more like himself in each practice after playing through a nagging bruised calf over the past few weeks.
-Horn said Tennessee is the deepest team in the league in terms of talent, and he's looking for the Gamecocks to compete like it did against the Volunteers in a 73-67 loss in Knoxville two weeks ago
