At St. Augustine, Fla., the South Carolina women’s sand volleyball team beat Jacksonville, 3-2, on Saturday for its first program win. The No. 2 pairs team of Sarah Blomgren-Mikaela Christiaansen won the decisive match. Earlier in the day, the program opened with a 4-1 loss to North Florida.
Gamecocks win on the road
At Martin, Tenn., No. 1 South Carolina won 3-of-4 MVPs and defeated Tennessee-Martin in its regular season finale on Saturday, as the Gamecocks defeated the Skyhawks 13-7. USC (11-2 overall, 4-2 SEC) wrapped up the regular season with a program best 11 wins.

’Bama stomps USC
At Tuscaloosa, Ala., Alabama (19-4, 2-0 SEC) beat USC (14-6, 0-2) 10-5. South Carolina’s Kayla Snaer hit a two-run homer.
USC third at Rucker
At Hilton Head Island, USC shot a 12-over 296 to finish third after two rounds of the 17-team Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. USC freshman Katelyn Dambaugh leads the Gamecocks in eighth at 2-over 144.
