Florida is getting so thin along the offensive line that coach Will Muschamp might scale back the spring game.
Guard Trip Thurman has a shoulder injury that could require surgery, the latest lineman sidelined during spring practice.
Coach Will Muschamp says “it does not look good right now,” adding that test results will determine the extent of Thurman's injury.
The Gators already are without several offensive linemen, including Jessamen Dunker (suspension), Ian Silberman (shoulder), Chaz Green (ankle) and Max Garcia (back). Starting guard Jon Halapio also has been limited in spring because of a shoulder injury.
The mounting injuries could force Muschamp to alter the format of the April 6 spring game.
He says “it may be more of a practice-like atmosphere for what we're going to do.”
