ATHENS - The Georgia football program notched a player who could end up being one of the key members of next year's signing class.
Natrez Patrick, a highly-regarded edge rushing prospect from Atlanta, committed to Georgia on Friday night. Patrick is entering his senior year at Mays High School in Atlanta.
Patrick is rated one of the nation's top 100 prospects for 2014 by 247Sports, Scout and Rivals. He is a consensus a four-star prospect.
This is the third defensive end-outside linebacker prospect to join next year's class. The others are Chauncey Rivers, a four-star prospect from Stone Mountain, and Quincy Vasser, a three-star prospect from Navarro junior college in Texas.
Georgia now has eight commitments for the 2015 class. It has room to sign well more than 25 players, as it only signed 22 this past February, one of whom could back-count.
