South Carolina baseball junior standouts Alex Destino and Tyler Johnson are signing with the Chicago White Sox, they indicated Sunday night via Twitter.
Said Destino, who was selected in the 14th round, No. 417th overall, by Chicago: “Playing at Carolina gave me the opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream of mine, but more importantly it provided relationships that will last a lifetime.”
Said Johnson, selected in the fifth round, No. 147 overall, by the White Sox: “To the fans, thank you for all the support you provided me throughout my three years at USC. I tried my best to simply help the program win!”
