A trio of Gamecocks picked up All-America accolades from a pair of groups on Wednesday.
South Carolina left-handed pitcher Michael Roth earned first-team honors from Baseball America and second-team honors from the ional Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Sophomore right-handed pitcher Matt Price was a second-team choice by both organizations, and and sophomore first baseman Christian Walker was a third-team selection by Baseball America.
Roth is 13-3 with a 1.02 ERA on the year with six of his wins coming in SEC play. His 1.17 conference ERA was the best mark in the SEC as well. Roth is 2-0 in the 2011 postseason.
For the season, Price owns a 5-3 record and 18 saves. Price has struck out 67 batters in 50 innings and opponents are hitting .205 against him.
Walker leads the Gamecocks with a .359 batting average (89-for-248) as well as a team-high 10 HR and 60 RBI. His .560 slugging percentage also tops the squad. One of the top sophomores in the country, Walker has been selected to the 22-man roster for the 2011 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team as well.
