South Carolina senior catcher Dante Rosenberg is expected to miss six to eight weeks due to a broken hamate bone in his left wrist.
Rosenberg suffered the injury on Friday evening at Florida during batting practice. He will undergo surgery this week.
Rosenberg has started 12 of the team's 37 games as Grayson Greiner's primary backup. He is batting .319 with a home run, two doubles and 12 RBIs.
Redshirt sophomore Patrick Harrington is the only other catcher listed on the USC roster.
