Baseball America released the eight teams it expects to reach the College World Series next season, and South Carolina is on the list.
In addition to the Gamecocks, Baseball America predicts East Carolina, Florida, Florida State, Long Beach State, LSU, Oregon State and TCU will make it to Omaha.
Baseball America expects USC’s pitching staff, led by Clarke Schmidt, Wil Crowe and Tyler Johnson, to lead the Gamecocks to a deep postseason run.

South Carolina finished the 2016 season 46-18 and came up two wins short of reaching the College World Series, falling 2-0 to Oklahoma State in a best-of-three Super Regional in Columbia.
The Gamecocks will be without some key players from this past season in 2017 but return Adam Hill, Josh Reagan, Alex Destino, Madison Stokes, LT Tolbert, TJ Hopkins, John Jones and Chris Cullen in addition to Schmidt, Crowe and Johnson.
