The Gamecocks remain uncertain when it comes to returning punts, even after cycling through five possible options.
Cornerback Chris Lammons was the last one to field a punt Sunday against Georgia, and he said he’s confident in his ability there and expects he’ll be the guy there going forward.
Lammons had a little trouble on that last punt he fielded, falling on the ball before he finally secured it. He’d come in for Hayden Hurst, who was in there to “get possession,” but let a pair of balls go that got long rolls.
USC had also tried Jamarcus King, Deebo Samuel and Rashad Fenton returning punts, but each has muffed at least one.
