Muschamp crack to Florida columnist: Your voice could be used to torture POWs

Will Muschamp said he’d been waiting a year to say it.

The South Carolina coach spent four years at the helm of the Florida Gators and plenty of time with the media members there. When Orlando Sentinel columnist Mike Bianchi began to identify himself Thursday at SEC Media Day, Muschamp jumped in.

“You don’t have to identify yourself,” Muschamp said. “They could use your voice to torture prisoners of war.

“I was waiting for a year to say that. Go ahead”

Muschamp said it with a laugh and then went on to answer a question about the relative state and importance of facilities after his Florida tenure. The Gamecocks are in the early stages of building a new football operations building.
