The freshman rushed for a season-high 212 yards, his third 180 yard-plus rushing performance. He also scored three touchdowns. He has run for more than 570 yards in the past five games to approach the 1,000-yard mark.

The Florida native made good in his home state, going 15-for-22 for 156 yards with his first interception-free contest in five games. But it was his 8-yard TD run in the third quarter that put an exclamation mark on the win.
Ellis Johnson’s troops redeemed themselves after allowing 41 points and 443 yards last week against Arkansas. For three quarters, the Gamecocks defense held Florida’s offense to 67 yards, three first downs and zero points.
USC’s special teams
Florida’s Andre Debose had a huge lane to run through on his way to a 99-yard touchdown on the opening kickoff. The score could have set back USC. Debose got another kickoff return for 37 yards.
Their offense couldn’t move the ball. Their defense couldn’t stop USC on crucial third downs. Their fans booed them. And they haven’t lost this many SEC games since 1986.
Is it time to say it’s over? Gamecocks fans should have reason to think so with a title for the first time since 1969. And remember USC nearly beat Auburn on the road this season.
