You are closing in on 1,000 yards this season. What does that mean to you?
That was one of my goals along with the offensive line’s goal, but if we don’t get the win, it doesn’t matter. But I’m real excited about that.
Before you committed to South Carolina, there was a lot of talk about how a running back would be foolish to come to South Carolina because of the inconsistency of the offensive line. Now that you are here, how do you feel about that?
I heard that before I committed, but I didn’t listen to it. I knew the inside. I knew what coach (Shawn) Elliott was doing with these guys. I knew they were going to be great.
Never miss a local story.
What’s your confidence level in the offensive line?
I know they are going to open up holes for me.
How much confidence did you have you could have this type of season?
I got better over the summer, better during camp. I have just gotten more comfortable as the season has gone on. I feel like I can play well in the SEC. The coaches had confidence in me and that gave me more confidence.
What do you think about the fact that you’ve had 29 or more carries in three games this year?
That’s what I’m used to, that’s what I did in high school. I wouldn’t want it any other way.
