Junior tight end Mike Triglia likely won’t return this season due to a torn ACL he suffered during bowl practice.
“He’s a potential medical guy with his knee,” Steve Spurrier said Tuesday. “He may be a medical casualty this year.”
Senior center Ryan Broadhead also might not return. Broadhead missed the 2010 season and spring practice due to a torn ACL suffered during preseason practice.
“I’m not 100 percent sure of anything right now,” Broadhead said.
He still is trying to work out something with the coaching staff, he said, and he did not rule out returning without a scholarship. Broadhead will be healthy enough to play in the fall, he said.
“My biggest thing is to help the team out the best way I can,” he said. “That’s always been my thing.”
