The Gwinnett County Medical Examiner's Office has identified a body found in Duluth on Mother's Day as the brother of Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers.
The Gwinnett Daily Post reports that 53-year-old Timothy Rogers disappeared in March. He was last seen walking home from a relative's Gwinnett County home. Authorities say a resident in the area found a skull in the woods on Mother's Day, and investigators uncovered more skeletal remains nearby hours later.
A cause of death has yet to be determined, but authorities say no foul play is suspected.
Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Carol Terry said the remains were identified as Timothy Rogers based on information in his medical records that her office recently received.
George Rogers won the 1980 Heisman Trophy while playing for the University of South Carolina.
