Clowney advances in ESPY voting

South Carolina All-American defensive end Jadeveon Clowney advanced to Round Two in the 2013 ESPY Award voting for “Best Play” for his hit and fumble recovery during the Gamecocks’ Outback Bowl victory against Michigan.
There were 16 nominees for the award with Clowney earning the No. 1 seed in a bracket-style vote to determine the winner.
Fans can vote for Clowney at ESPN.com/espys. Click on “Best Play” under the award categories, select Clowney’s match-up, then click “Submit Vote”.
Round of 8 voting will run July 8-14 and the finals will be July 15-17. Voting will end on July 17 at 9 p.m.
The ESPY Awards will air on ESPN at 9 p.m. Wednesday. Clowney will attend the event, which will be held in Los Angeles.
