Three things that must happen for USC to finish in a two-team tie with Missouri for the SEC East title, which the Gamecocks would win in a head-to-head tiebreaker.
1. WIN REMAINING FINAL SEC GAMES
The Gamecocks need to win their remaining conference games, starting against Missouri on Saturday. It’s the last road game for USC. Home conference games remain against Mississippi State (Nov. 2) and Florida (Nov. 16).
2. MISSOURI LOSES TWICE
Missouri must lose two games, including the game against the Gamecocks. A second loss for the Tigers could come in their final two games — Nov. 23 at Mississippi, and Nov. 30 against Texas A&M.
3. GEORGIA LOSES ONCE
Georgia has to lose once, and games against Florida and No. 11 Auburn in November are possibilities. Missouri would win a three-way tie with the Gamecocks and Bulldogs because of a better division record.
