South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw has two games remaining in his college career.
The first will come in the Gamecocks' to-be-determined bowl game. The second takes place Jan. 18 in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in Carson, Calif. The game is at 6 p.m. that day and televised on ESPN.
Shaw on Tuesday announced via Instagram that he accepted an invite to the game: "Honored to accept the NFLPA Game Invitation on Jan. 18th. 1st things 1st though, I've got one more game to win in a Carolina uniform! Thankful for the opportunity!"
Shaw finished a 17-0 home career with a 31-17 win against Clemson last week, completed 61 percent of his passes for 2,135 yards, 21 touchdowns and one interception during the regular season.
Never miss a local story.
He has won a school-record 26 games while losing five. He is 218 yards from having one of the top 10 passing seasons in school history, and his passer rating of 156.23 ranks 16th in the country.
Shaw also is the only quarterback in the nation to throw more than nine touchdowns while having one or fewer interceptions.
Seven South Carolina seniors took part in post-season all-star games after last season. Placekicker Adam Yates and defensive tackle Byron Jerideau took part in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
