Na’Ty Rodgers has been given another chance.
Rodgers, said by coach Steve Spurrier to have been dismissed from South Carolina’s football team on Sunday, is back with the squad. A USC sports information official confirmed that Rodgers was back on Monday night.
A team source confirmed that Rodgers has also switched from offensive line to defense.
Rodgers, a redshirt freshman, didn’t travel to the Kentucky game due to a violation of team rules. He did not dress for Saturday’s loss to Tennessee and Spurrier said on Sunday that he had decided to transfer.
“He had some problems with some team policies and so forth,” Spurrier said then. “I think we all felt it was better if he moved on.”
Opinions apparently changed. Rodgers, a former four-star recruit, was back on the team on Monday.
