Stephen Garcia returned to South Carolina’s spring football practice Tuesday with little fanfare.
Garcia moved back into his normal spot in the rotation during most drills and looked rusty at times but also threw a few nice passes. We won’t learn much about Garcia’s physical readiness until Saturday’s scrimmage, if we do even then. For better or worse, Garcia is a known commodity these days.
The most interesting thing will be when, or if, Garcia talks to the media.
Head coach Steve Spurrier said Garcia would be made available this week when he announced the suspension last week. The Gamecocks offensive players talk on Thursdays, so we’ll see. We have expected interviews before that didn’t happen.
I don’t know how much Garcia will address the bowl situation or how much he will address anything. I expect him to say he’s moving forward and looking forward to a strong finish to his career, etc., etc., but he may prove me wrong.
We’ll see Thursday. Or we won’t. If you’ve got any questions you think are particularly relevant, post them here or send them to me on Twitter @JoshatTheState.
