South Carolina men’s basketball made it two straight SEC Players of the Week when P.J. Dozier claimed the honor on Monday.
Dozier averaged 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals in wins over Vermont and Florida International last week, improving the No. 19 Gamecocks’ record to 8-0. He scored a career-high 21 against the Catamounts on a career-high nine field goals before posting 20 against FIU.
The sophomore from Columbia shot 57.1 percent from the field in the two wins.
USC is idle until Monday, when it returns to New York to play Seton Hall at Madison Square Garden. The Gamecocks beat then-No. 18 Syracuse in Brooklyn on Nov. 26.
Sindarius Thornwell won the award last week.
