Tight end Jerell Adams of Scott's Branch made an unofficial visit to Clemson Saturday.
Adams is deciding between the Tigers and South Carolina and wanted one final look at Clemson before he announces Wednesday morning at his school at 10:30 a.m.
"He just wanted to see Clemson again, it was only his third trip there," said Adams' cousin and adviser Martell Adams, who joined him on the trip. "He knows what he loves and doesn't love about South Carolina. He wanted to see what he loves and doesn't love about Clemson."
Clemson assistant Marion Hobby and graduate assistant Brian Mance spent most of the time with Adams, who attended the Tigers' basketball game sitting behind the home bench a few seats down from defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. Clowney was there on an official visit.
"He wanted to feel the atmosphere," Martell Adams said.
Jerell Adams also heard from USC Saturday, talking on the phone with head coach Steve Spurrier and recruiter Shane Beamer.
"He kind of knows where he wants to go," Martell Adams said. "Carolina has always been out front. That's his team. But Jerell is a quiet fellow. You never know. He and (Manning defensive lineman) Phillip Dukes want to play together. They are going to talk" on Sunday.
Dukes is on an official visit to North Carolina this weekend.
