DE Ben Councell (6-5 230) of Asheville, NC is committed to Notre Dame but does plan to take an official visit to USC. "I've already been down there a couple of times," he said. "I'm planning on taking an official there in the next couple of weeks."

Councell will also take official visits to North Carolina and Notre Dame and is considering taking one to Georgia Tech. "I'm committed to Notre Dame but signing day isn't until February so I'm just making sure," said Councell.

He is also considering taking in this weekend's game between USC and Clemson in Death Valley. So far this season, Councell has over 100 tackles with 21 for loss.
