Tight end Jerell Adams of Scott's Branch made his official visit to Clemson last weekend and will visit USC this coming weekend.
At one point, Adams favored one of the in-state teams over the other, but that gap is closed right now.
"USC was out front, but after the official visit to Clemson, it's pretty even," said Adams' cousin and confidant Moncell Adams. "It's pretty open between USC and Clemson. Alabama may come on the scene. Coach (Chris Rumph) has a good relationship with him."
Adams is scheduled for an official visit to Arkansas on Jan. 28. His cousin said that could be switched to Alabama or to no visit at all.
"He could decide after the USC visit," Moncell Adams said.
Moncell Adams was not sure about the visit plans of coaches this week, but he knows Steve Spurrier and Dabo Swinney still have their in-home visits to make.
