Linebacker Cedrick Cooper of Lithonia, Ga., decommitted from Arkansas Wednesday morning and is now only committed to South Carolina, according to his assistant coach and mentor Lloyd Morrison.
Cooper met Wednesday morning with Gamecock recruiter Lorenzo Ward.
"This thing has been all over the place," Morrison said. "He committed to (Steve) Spurrier on Sunday and called back Monday to tell him he was still committed but still thinking about things. But then Arkansas came in and he committed to them but didn't decommit from South Carolina. He was really confused. But he decommitted from Arkansas today and is committed to USC."
Cooper and Morrison plan to sit down Wednesday night to firm up everything.
Cooper still plans to visit Ole Miss this weekend since he had made that promise to their coaching staff.
The Gamecocks have 31 commitments for this class.
