South Pointe defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is not announcing his college choice on Wednesday. And coaches can't see him in person this week at his school or home. However, the pace for Clowney will still be frantic.
He just came off an official visit to Clemson over the weekend, but South Carolina and Alabama remain his focus as he works on a decision for his Feb. 14 announcement.
This week, a film crew that started working on a documentary on Clowney on Friday will resume its work. A reporter from the New York Times plans to interview Clowney for a piece on recruitingm as does Jamie Newburg of ESPN.com.
And on Wednesday, Clowney will make an appearance live on ESPNU at around 4 p.m. as part of the network's National Signing Day coverage.
It's also possible Clowney will take another official visit. North Carolina head coach Butch Davis met with him last week and is trying to get him in for a visit.
The dead period begins Monday and ends Thursday. A quiet period begins Friday, and during that time a prospect can make a visit to a campus.
