Jadeveon Clowney played in his basketball game Friday despite a sore ankle. On Saturday afternoon he will attend his high school football banquet at South Pointe High School.
Saturday night he will have another basketball game.
A film crew from New York returned to Rock Hill Friday to resume the documentary it is doing on Clowney. The crew will be working on Saturday and leaving Sunday.
A source confirmed Saturday morning our Friday information that Clowney is now focusing on USC and Clemson with Alabama not as big a factor at this point. The source said Clowney did not confirm he will visit Clemson next Saturday for the North Carolina basketball game as has been reported by a Clemson fan Web site.
"He said he's tired," the source said. "He said he can't plan things. He said he's kind of ready for it to be over with."
The source said Clowney remains tight-lipped about what he's thinking, but he said Clowney may know where he's going.
"He wants it to be a shock," the source said. "He doesn't want anybody to know what he's going to do. Part of it is, he's still up in the air. But deep down inside he knows."
USC coach Steve Spurrier is scheduled to make his weekly phone call to Clowney on Saturday. It is not known when Clemson coach Dabo Swinney plans to contact him next. Even the head coaches may have a hard time reaching Clowney on the phone.
"He's not taking many calls," the source said. "He's concerned about his phone bill."
Clowney will announce his decision on February 14th.
