DB Geno Smith (6-0 170) of Atlanta has offers from across the region and the nation. Clemson, USC, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Miami, Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Oregon, Notre Dame, Texas, Oklahoma, and Southern Cal are just some of theschools to have already offered the junior.
"Geno is the most talented and athletic player we have ever had since we've been here," said his coach Paul Standard. "We are a private school that plays public schools. He always covers the best wide receiver and locks them down."
Smith has been to Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia Tech and Georgia for their junior days and is planning other trips. "I know he wants to visit Notre Dame and will also head out west," said Standard. "He won't be an early commitment because he wants to take a lot of visits."
Standard says that Smith is interested in Clemson and USC.
As a junior, Smith had 32 tackles, seven interceptions returning one for a touchdown, and 12 pass breakups. He also rushed 68 times for 752 yards and eight scores and caught seven balls for 57 yards. He does not have a favorite.
