LB Noor Davis (6-4 225) of The Villages, FL added USC to his offers last week. The Gamecocks offered Thursday, Auburn offered last night and LSU offered him this morning.
"Steve Spurrier, Jr. came by the school yesterday as a matter of fact," Davis said. "I am very familiar with South Carolina. I'm good friends with (former USC shortstop) Bobby Haney and he has told me a lot of good things about the school. We actually watched their bowl game at a New Year's party together."
His other offers include Miami, Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Southern Cal, UCLA, Georgia, Nebraska, Ohio State and Pitt.
"I'm going to take a trip out west this summer and when I get back, I want to narrow my list to five," he said. "I know Florida and Notre Dame are two of the schools on that list. I just need to decide on the other three." As for visiting USC he said, "It will depend on my family's travel plans. If they make my top five, I will definitely take an official visit there."
As a junior, Davis compiled 101 tackles, eight sacks, five pass deflections, two fumble recoveries and a touchdown. He will serve as the starting quarterback this season to go along with his duties on defense but did say, "I won't play special teams this year."
He did not name a leader.
