OL Blake Bars (6-5 275) of Nashville has offers from Vanderbilt, Florida, Penn State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU, Wake Forest, Virginia and Louisville and has a scholarship waiting for him at USC.
"Coach (Steve) Spurrier, Jr. called me and said they would offer me if I visit them," Bars said. "I am trying to work it into my busy schedule but I want to get down there."
Bars is interested in USC and wants to learn more about the school. "Everything I've heard is that it's a real good place to go to school," he said. "I hear they have a real good team and they're on the rise. That is what I'm looking for. I really like coach (Steve) Spurrier."
Bars was at Penn State for their Blue and White game where he had a good time. "My brother Brad plays linebacker there," he added. He has visited Florida, Auburn and BC as well. This summer, Bars has visits planned for Oklahoma and LSU. "Both of those schools are recruiting me hard," Bars said.
He does not have a favorite.
