Former Northwestern High WR Cordarrelle Patterson (6-4 205) will play his second season at Hutchinson JC, KS this season and then move on to a Division One program. USC is a possibility.
The Gamecocks have not offered but they are showing interest. "Coach Spurrier Jr. has called me twice," Patterson said. "He was just checking on me and how I'm doing. He wants me to visit when I'm back home in July."
Patterson has offers from Tennessee, Georgia, Minnesota, Texas Tech, Baylor, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Missouri, Oklahoma State and Arkansas. Patterson said location for him is not a big deal but "my family wants me back home." He doesn't have any favorites and will take official visits this fall and then decide.
He's on track to graduate in December and will have three years to play two at the next level. Last season Patterson had 52 catches for 952 yards and 12 touchdowns.
