Late last week the father of quarterback Brendan Nosovitch of Allentown, Pa., said South Carolina was the team out front for his son.
In a story printed Saturday in the Morning Call of Allentown, Nosovitch confirmed what his father had said.
"I feel like, yeah, I am [close to deciding]," Nosovitch told writer Stephen Miller. "South Carolina is definitely No. 1 on my list right now. I don't anticipate it taking too much longer. South Carolina has definitely been the school that's recruited me the hardest. I'm getting a good feeling from them."
"I really like the campus," Nosovitch continued. "The quarterback coach [G.A. Mangus] has worked with me. It feels like a good place to be and could be the right place to be for me.
Never miss a local story.
"Oregon really wants me to come out and visit," he said. "Possibly I could get an offer from them. [Visiting Oregon] is something I'm thinking about. It's a really long way away. Probably in the next couple of days I'll be making a decision about that."
Nosovitch is expected to make his decision in early July, according to his father.
