DB TJ Davis of Tallahassee is one of the prospects participating in the Nike Open camp at the University of Oregon this week. In fact, he is there with good friend and Clemson commitment Travis Banks.
Davis said the two flew out together from Tallahassee and are roommates in Eugene. “Yea, Travis is in my ear about Clemson,” Davis said. Clemson is one of his 35 offers along with USC and both have a shot with him.
Davis said right now Florida State has a narrow lead on Alabama, and he’s committed to official visits with Ohio State and Notre Dame at this point. The other schools standing out with him right now are most of the SEC schools including USC, Clemson and Miami. He said USC was one of the first schools to offer him, and he likes Clemson recruiters Jeff Scott and Charlie Harbison.
This summer Davis has visited Alabama, Florida State, Auburn and LSU. He is going back to Alabama for a camp in two weeks. And he said he will visit Clemson and USC at some point. He wants to make all five of his official visits before making his decision unless he’s blown away by one school on a visit.
