OL Joe Harris of Lithonia, GA said Thursday night it is possible he will make a commitment to USC sometime Friday. Harris is attending a camp at the University of Oregon. His potential commitment to the Gamecocks was first reported by JC Shurburtt of the BigSpur.com who is covering the camp.
“I’m thinking about it,” Harris said when asked if the commitment was forthcoming. “USC is a big leader somewhat. I have no idea on a time (for a commitment). There’s a possibility I would commit and there’s a possibility I wouldn’t. I probably will talk with (recruiter) Coach Ward Friday.”
Harris visited USC last month and has had the Gamecocks and Georgia at the top of his list. USC likes him as a guard.
Shurburtt also reported from Oregon that WR Jody Fuller of Monroe, NC, who is also attending the camp, is expected to commit to USC Friday. USC has been Fuller’s leader throughout the recruiting process. “That’s the place that wants me the most,” Fuller said in May.
Another receiver prospect, Quinshad Davis of Gaffney, is scheduled for an unofficial visit to USC Friday. His mother will join him on the visit. Davis has offers from USC, Clemson, NC State and Wake Forest. He also plans to visit Clemson with his mother.
