LB Adam Ah Ching of Greer plans to attend USC’s Showcase Camp later this month and is looking forward to meeting with recruiter Shawn Elliott. The Gamecocks have not offered but Ah Ching is hoping a good showing might lead to more interest.
He performed well at a recent camp at Utah where he was studied by a Stanford assistant. A few days later, Ah Ching was contacted with an offer from the Cardinal. He also has offers from Utah, BYU, Oregon, Colorado and Georgia Tech.
Ah Ching also camped recently at Nebraska. “It was good,” he said. “I liked the coach and they liked me. It was a good experience. They say they are going to offer.” He has also been to NC State for a camp and the Wolfpack coaches like him as a fullback and linebacker. He also has visited Notre Dame.
Ah Ching is Mormon but said it’s not a given he’s BYU bound. “I want to go to a school where I fit their scheme,” he said. “I want to commit as soon as possible.” He added that he can wait until after his college career to take his Mormon mission.
Ah Ching does not have a favorite.
