Offensive lineman Cody Waldrop (6-4 295) of Seffner, Fla., announced a commitment to South Carolina on Thursday afternoon.
Waldrop picked the Gamecocks over Georgia. He also had offers from Tennessee, LSU, Florida State, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt and Cincinnati.
Waldrop visited USC earlier this week with his father and younger brother and saw enough to convince him that it was the right place for him.
"I want to play early and I want to win," said Waldrop, who will be an offensive guard with the Gamecocks. "I can do both of those and be coached by a hall of fame coach."
Never miss a local story.
Waldrop is the 15th commitment for the USC class of 2012.
"I'm going to USC and I can't wait," he said.
