LB Raphael Kirby (6-2 218) of Stone Mountain, GA committed to Miami several months ago and does not believe any other visits are in his future.
"Right now, I don't plan on going to any other schools," Kirby said. "I'm going to take my official (visit) to Miami and that should be it unless something happens between now and February."
He took visits to Clemson and USC and had offers from each. The Gamecocks stood out to the Atlanta linebacker. "I really like South Carolina," he said. "I went there and hung out with Coach (Lorenzo) Ward. He was real cool. He showed me around and I got to meet coach (Steve) Spurrier. They're going to be very successful. I have no doubt about that. Their coaching staff is great. They were definitely in my top five."
He had over 25 offers but says Miami is the right place for him.
As a junior, Kirby totaled 120 tackles, three sacks, 21 quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
