6-9 Brice Johnson of Edisto made his official visit to North Carolina last weekend. That was his second official visit. He earlier went to NC State. He made the visit with his dad and his AAU coach, Dion Bethea.
“He had a good visit, had a real good time,” Bethea said. “He’s not ready to commit. He’s going to go down to Florida (October 1st.)” Florida coach Billy Donovan and his assistants John Pelphrey and Norm Roberts visited Johnson last Thursday.
USC and Clemson also remain involved with Johnson and are hoping for a visit. “His dad wants him to visit USC and Clemson,” Bethea said. “They are still working on it.”
The in state schools appear to be running behind North Carolina, NC State and Florida at this point. Johnson plans to make his decision shortly after the Florida visit.
