6-9 Tyrone Haughton of Miami made an official visit to USC over the weekend and the Gamecocks are in strong position with him though he will make more visits before deciding.
“I loved everything there,” Haughton said Sunday night. “I really feel I could fit in. I can see myself going there. I did not commit. My coach doesn’t want me to commit after one visit.”
Haughton will also take official visits to Alabama, Virginia Tech and Connecticut before deciding. Haughton said he was made to feel very much at home in Columbia. “The team took care of me,” he said. “They seem like brothers. They carried me everywhere. And I like how he (Darrin Horn) coaches. It’s just like my high school coach. And I loved the arena and the locker room.”
Haughton is a major target for USC as it appears at this time 6-9 Brice Johnson of Edisto will sign with an out of state program.
